• MARCH 5, 2010 - Public Notice #03042010-01
  This is an update to PN 02072010-01.  A video of the February 25 City of San Diego planning commission meeting can be viewed here.  As a result of strong opposition expressed at the February 25 meeting, the planning commission will recommend to the city council that the draft amendment in its current form not be adopted.  However, this is a recommendation only.  It is up to the city council to decide how to proceed.
  
  Your voice needs to be heard by the city council on this matter.  If you live in the City of San Diego, please contact your councilmember and express your concern and displeasure over this amendment.  Even if you do not live in the City of San Diego, your voice is just as powerful.

Here is a listing of San Diego City Council offices by district that includes names and email addresses.  Select your district from the list, then select the "contact us" option towards the top of the page to obtain phone numbers and office address.  Phone calls are more powerful than email messages, but anything you can do to let your voice be heard will help.

  The City of San Diego is proposing an amendment to the city's Land Development Code (LDC) that could limit the height of amateur radio antenna structures:

  Per the City's website, "This amendment project is scheduled for Planning Commission on February 25, 2010. City Council adoption hearings and Coastal Commission certification hearings would follow.   SANDRA members are encouraged to become familiar with this amendment and provide feedback to the SANDRA board of directors as well as our area ARRL official, Steve Early, AD6VI.

  ARES remains on standby alert.  Please visit the SANDRA repeater status page for current status of SANDRA repeater systems.
   
• OCTOBER 25, 2007 - Public Notice #10252007-01
  ARES is on standby alert.  146.265 (Lyons Peak) is being used as one of the ARES emergency frequencies.  Please try to keep non emergency and non priority traffic on all SANDRA repeaters to a minimum during times of alert or emergency. 
   
• OCTOBER 23, 2007 - Public Notice #10232007-01
  ARES has activated emergency nets across multiple San Diego County repeater systems to support communications during San Diego's fire emergency.  SANDRA repeaters are included in this activation.  Please be aware of this activity on SANDRA repeaters and other repeaters across the county.
